SCOUTING UNITS

CUB SCOUTS

Boys & Girls Dens

Grades K-5

Cub Scouting is engaging for the whole family. Boys and girls start with their best right now selves and grow into their very best future selves. It’s fun, hands-on learning and achievement that puts kids in the middle of the action and prepares them for today - and for life. Darien has four Cub Scout Packs: Pack 55 at Ox Ridge School, Pack 56 at Royle School, Pack 155 at Holmes School and Pack 161 at Tokeneke and Hindley Schools.

SCOUTS BSA

Boys & Girls Troops

Grades 5-12

Scouts BSA is a year-round program for boys and girls in fifth grade through high school that provides fun, adventure, learning, challenge, and responsibility to help them become the best version of themselves. Service, community engagement and leadership become increasingly important parts of the program as youth lead their own activities and work their way toward earning Scouting’s highest rank, Eagle Scout. Darien has two troops for boys, Troop 35 and Troop 53, and a NEW Girls Troop 219.

VENTURING CREW

Coed STEM Crew

Grades 9-12

Venturing is a co-ed program for high school students that is fun and full of challenge and adventure. It emphasizes mentoring, leadership, personal growth and service, while acquiring skills in a specialty area. Darien’s Venture Crew 353 focuses on STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering & Math) and provides service to Darien and our neighboring towns.

CHARITY AUCTIONS

Darien Scouts collect donations of good quality, resalable furniture, home décor, art, etc. by appointment and hold online auctions throughout the year. We raise the majority of our operating funds through these auctions.

We also accept CAR, BOAT & MOTORCYCLE donations.

SERVING THE COMMUNITY

Scouting instills a lifetime passion for service to others.

Darien Scouts impact very aspect of local life. Each year, more than 2,000 hours of community service from the Darien Scouts provide meaningful civic leadership experience for the boys - and actively improve the quality of living in Darien and surrounding towns.

The impact of the Scouts on our local and surrounding communities is extraordinary.
